US-NCAA standout, nasa radar ni Guiao

POSIBLENG isa pang potential NBA-bound player ang makapaglaro sa Team Pilipinas sa mga susunod na FIBA tournament.

Sa panayam ng Rappler Talk kay National team coach Yeng Guiao, puro papuri ang natanggap ni Remy Martin, isang Fil-Am athlete na naglalaro para sa Arizona State Sun Devils sa NCAA Division 1.

“He can shoot the three, he can drive to the basket, he’s a great passer, he’s a hustler, he defends well. So who knows,” ayon kay Guiao.

Kung si Martin naman ang tatanungin, posibleng nais din nitong maglaro para sa bansa, Filipino flag ang gamit na display picture para sa Instagram account.

Kung sakali mang walang balakid sa pagkuha kay Martin, inaasahang magiging mala­king tulong ito lalo’t naga-ave­rage ang Fil-Am guard ng 13.5 points, 5.2 assists, 3.2 rebounds at 1.3 steals kada laro para sa Arizona.

“From what I hear, he already has a passport before 16. Again, that’s something we have to confirm,” ayon kay Guiao.

“Kailangan siguro, imbitahan natin siya, tignan natin what he can contribute and then make a decision,” pana­pos nito.
