Nagbato ng suporta ang miyembro ng Youth and Sports Development Committee na si Congressman Mark Zambat para sa Lower House sa opening ceremonies kahapon ng National Consultative Meeting on Collegiate Sports sa Multi-Purpose Arena ng PhilSports Complex sa Pasig.

“We at the Congress are willing to help, but we have to see a firm plan, let us all work together and find direction,” ani Zambar sa may 70 kolehiyo’t unibersidad na nasa okasyon.

Pakay mapag-isa ang napakaraming stakeholders sa collegiate sports upang makabalangkas ng wastong programa at iisang athletic association sa university sports.

“This is the bridge we have been looking for, ultimately helping us have better performances in the elite level like the Asian Games and the Olympic Games,” hirit niya sa pagtitipong dinaluhan din ni YSDC chair Cong. Conrado Estrella III.

Inamin ni Philippine Sports Commission Chairman William Ramirez sa kanyang welcome address na hindi natupad ng govenmment  sports agency ang mandato nito sa tinagal na 27 taon na pamamalagi. 

Hinirit niyang tanggap naman iyon ng ahensya at sinisikap na lamang nilang punan, simula sa dibdibang programa sa grassroots.

 “We came here to build bridges. Yes, there are sad stories but we have to learn from those stories,” ani Ramirez.
