TRAIN minaniobra sa House journal

Iginiit nina Gabriela Women’s Party-list Representatives Emmi de Jesus at Arlene Brosas na ipinamalas na naman ng supermajority sa Kamara ang ‘rubber stamp character’ nito matapos aprubahan nitong Lunes ang House journal noong Disyembre 13, 2017 na may kinalaman sa Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law.

Nabatid na ang naturang journal ay naglalaman ng diumano’y pekeng ratipikasyon ng bicameral report sa nasabing tax reform package.

Pero sinabi ng mga tumututol sa TRAIN na walang quorum at hindi rin nagkaroon ng botohan ang Kamara nang aprubahan ang bicameral report.

“We call it bogus because there was no quorum when the TRAIN bicam report was taken up a few minutes before 10:00 p.m. on December 13; there was no actual voting, be it nominal or viva voce; and ACT Teachers Rep. Antonio Tinio’s objection was not recognized,” ayon sa pahayag ng dalawang kongresista.

Hindi umano nakasapin sa inaprubahang journal ang alin man sa nabanggit.

“By approving the said journal yesterday, the House supermajority tried to sweep their monkey business under the rug,” nakasaad pa sa pahayag ng Gabriela solons.
