“Lazy people are soon poor; hard workers get rich.” (Proverbs 10:4 NLT)
Ayun. Sipag at tiyaga. Kung babasahin mo ang mga stories of successful people, lahat sila ay masisipag at enjoy na enjoy sa trabaho (dahil magaganda at positive ang mga attitudes nila).
Ngayon, kung masipag ka naman at kulang ang suweldo na tinatangap mo for the amount and quality of work you are doing, talk to your boss or supervisor. Ask for an adjustment. If you feel that you are underworked or could do more for the company, kausapin ang boss mo at humingi ka ng mga karagdagang trabaho. (If not, at least you will have developed the important mindset and habit of always working harder and “going the extra mile.”)
Remember the principle, “Ask and you shall receive.” (Matthew 7:7). Sabi rin ni Jesus, “you do not have because you do not ask.” This was my experience in all of my previous jobs. Every time I asked for an increase, my bosses would always give it to me because I worked hard and produced the results needed.
Also, inquire about the incentive programs at work and make sure that you qualify. Always give excellent work and the money and rewards will follow (if not at your current job then siguradong may darating na job offer na mas maganda. Sabi ng Bible, “what you sow, you reap” — or kung ano ang iyong itinanim, iyan din ang aanihin.)
