Para tipid sa domestic travel! Sec Berna bet ang mabilis, murang COVID test

Naghahanap ng paraan ang Department of Tourism (DOT) para mapababa ang halaga ng domestic travel partikular na ang halaga ng coronavirus disease testing na required bago payagang mag-travel ang isang indibiduwal.

Sa panayam kay Puyat sa DZBB kahapon , nagiging maingat aniya sila dahil ayaw nilang lumikha ng outbreak at ang nangyari sa rapid test kit na naglabas ng false negative result.

“We are looking for ways to make travel more affordable. But as of now, we don’t want what happened to the rapid test kit that yielded many false negative results. We want to restart cautiously. We don’t want to be negligent and cause an outbreak and risk going back to zero again,” ani Romulo-Puyat.

Dagdag niya, naghihintay pa sila ng resulta ng nagpapatuloy na rapid antigen pilot testing sa Baguio City.

“We need 100 percent. We hope it’s successful so we can eventually use the antigen, which is cheaper for only about P500 and the result comes out faster,” saad ng kalihim.

Sa kasalukuyan ay required sa mga turista na magkaroon ng negatibong RT-PCR test result bago payagan ang mga itong makapasyal sa mga pangunahing tourist destination sa bansa gaya ng Boracay, Baguio at El Nido. (IS)
