Mighty babanggain ang Magnolia

BILANG bahagi ng paghahanda ng Mighty Sports sa Dubai International Basketball Championship, makakaharap nito ang PBA Governors Cup champion Magnolia Hotshots sa isang exhibition game ngayong araw sa Ronac Gym sa San Juan City.

Hinahanap ni Mighty Sports coach Charles Tiu ang consistency at magandang execution at plays mula sa kanyang mga player sa oras na makaharap nila ang Hotshots.

Bagama’t nagawang maitakas ng tropa ang 106-99 na panalo sa tune-up game nito kontra Blackwater Elite, hindi pa rin kuntento si Tiu sa kanyang nakita.

“Though a win is a win, we still have a lot of work to do. In a scale of 10, we’re still at level 5,” sabi ni Tiu.

“We need to reach 7 or 8 before we leave for Dubai. The tournament there is very tough.”

Umaasa naman ang team owner na si Alex Wongchungking na mas magiging maganda ang tapos ng tropa matapos ang pangit nitong finish sa unang pagsalang nito dalawang taon na ang nakararaan.

“I’ll be happier if we can reach the semis this time. That’s our goal and I’m confident coach Charles, coach Jong (Uichico), coach Woody (Co) and coach Dean (Castano) can bring out the best from Lamar (Odom) and the rest of the team,” wika ni Wongchungking.
