Hirit ng 38 bansa: Tapusin ang mga patayan vs iligal na droga

IGINIIT ng 38 bansa sa Philippine government­ na tapusin na ang mga patayan kaugnay sa drug war at makipagtulungan sa imbestigasyon.

“We urge the government of the Philippines to take all necessary measures to bring kil­lings associated with the campaign against illegal drugs to an end and cooperate with the international community to investigate all related deaths and hold perpetrators accountable,” ayon sa Iceland na siyang nagsalita para sa 38 bansa.

Nagpahayag din ng pagkabahala ang grupo sa natatanggap na harassment ng mga miyembro ng Commision on Human Rights at sa mga personaheng nagsusulong ng karapatang pantao sa bansa.

“We call upon the Philippines to provide and guarantee a safe and secure environment for all, including journalists and Human Rights defenders,” ayon sa statement ng grupo sa 38th session ng UN Human Rights Council.

“We urge the Government of the Philippines to cooperate with the United Nations system – including the Human Rights Council and its special procedure mandate holders – without preconditions or limitations,” dagdag ng grupo.
