BUKAS maglaro si International Tenis Federation (ITF) world junior girl’s No. 4 Alexandra ‘Alex’ Eala sa national women’s tennis team para sa 31st Southeast Asian Games at 19th Asian Games na mga nakatakda sa 2022.

Ito ang ibinahagi ng 16-year-old, 5-foot-9 left-handed netter mula sa Quezon City sa ‘Power and Play’ radio sports program ng kanyang tiyuhing si Jose Emmanuel ‘Noli’ Eala nitong Sabado.

“We’ll I’m looking forward to it so much,” lahad ng nakababatang Eala, na kumakampanya na rin sa women’s pro tournament sa nakarang mga buwan. “I think it’s everyone’s dream to represent their country and I think this is a bigger thing than just an individual sport.”

Kasalukuyang Women’s Tennis Association (WRA) world No. 526 din, hinirit pa ng tinedyer na tenista: “Representing the country means you’re doing it for the Philippines and it just makes it so much more special.”

(Janiel Abby Toralba)
