Dominguez: NCR, Calabarzon i-MGCQ para kumita
Kailangan nang luwagan ang community quarantine status sa Metro Manila at Calabarzon, ayon kay Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III.
Dahilan niya, 67 percent ng ekonomiya ng bansa ang nakasalalay sa nabanggit na mga rehiyon.
Mananatili aniya ang COVID-19 sa matagal na panahon, kaya minungkahi niya sa gobyernong Duterte na gawing place-to-place at company-to-company ang gagawing paghighigpit sa quarantine status.
“The reality today is that the virus is not going to go away and we will have to live with it for a long period of time. I really believe we really should begin opening,” wika ni Dominguez, Martes ng gabi.
“You know, NCR, Calabarzon, that is where the economy is based. About 60 percent or 67 percent of our economy is based in that area. That should move more to the MGCQ as quickly as possible because people have to start working.”
“We should monitor it maybe on the barangay level, and if the cases go up, just close it down. … If the company has a big spike (in coronavirus cases), close it down also,” aniya pa.
