Bordeos sumagitsit sa Ronda Stage 1

NAGMASID, nag-abang at nang maka­kita ng tiyempo ay binigla ni Mark ­Julius Bordeos ng Bicycology Shop Army ang mga big gun sa arangkadahan upang masikwat ang 129.5-km Stage 1 ng LBC Ronda Pilipinas 10th anniversary na nagtapos sa harap ng City Hall ng Sorsogon kahapon.

Kasabay ni Bordeos, 24-anyos, ang mga tigasing sina former champion Mark Galedo ng 7Eleven Cliqq-Air21 by Roadbike Philippines at Jan Paul Morales ng Standard Insurance-Navy, consistent top 10 finisher, George Oconer, (Navy) at Marcelo Felipe (7Eleven).

Pero sa huling 500 metro ng karera ay dumiskarte ang taga-Laoac, Panga­sinan upang makuha ang unang stage sa 10-edition event.

“Alam ko bubwelo si Kuya Mac (Galedo) kaya ang ginawa ko nasa likod lang muna ako,” kuwento ni private first class sa Army na si Bordeos.

“Mark’s victory is the product of the entire team’s hard work and perseverance. We knew this win was bound to happen, sooner or later. That it came right on the first day of the Ronda Pilipinas means more and bigger challenges ahead, because everyone will now set their eyes on us.
