Amyenda sa anti-terrorism uunahin ni Sotto

PRAYORIDAD ng Senado ang panukalang pag-amyenda sa Human Security Act sa pagbabalik ng sesyon ngayong araw, May 20.

Ito ang inihayag ni Senate President Vicente ‘Tito’ Sotto III at umaasa itong maaaprubahan nila bago matapos ang 17th Congress ang mga amendment sa Human Security Act o mas kilala bilang Anti-Terrorism Law.

“Unless some important bill escapes me, what I know is that one of the important bills that we have to approve is the anti-terrorism act,” saad ni Sotto.

Ang Senate Bill No. 2204 o Anti-Terrorism Act of 2019 ay naglalayong amyendahan ang Republic Act No. 9372 o Human Security Act upang palakasin pa ito laban sa mga terorista.

Kabilang din sa ipaprayoridad ng Senado ang pag-amyenda sa Public Services Act na nasa 2nd reading na.

“You have seen the problems that we have encountered not only with telcos, with the airlines, most especially water. All these fall under the category of the Public Services Act,” diin ni Sotto.

Umaasa rin si Sotto na maisusulong na ang Medical Scholarship Act.

“Napakakaunti ng doktor sa Pilipinas na nagpupunta sa mga barrio. Ang dahilan, mahal. ‘Yan ang isa sa mga dahilan, so if ang pagdodoktor sa Pilipinas ay gagawin nating libre, both private and public medical schools, dadami ang doktor,” paliwanag pa ng senador.
