HINDI nakaligtas sa lumalala pa ngayong COVID-19 ang heavyweight Croatian boxer na si Toni Filipi.

Ayon sa boksingero, noong una ay wala itong naramdamang anumang senyales.

“The first two days since I was in self-isolation, I had nothing, I had no symptoms,” kuwento ni Filipi sa panayam ng Radio Zadar.

Pero kasunod noon ay nakaranas na ito ng mga sintomas ng virus gaya ng pag-ubo at pananakit ng ulo.

“After that I felt I was a little hot, I measured the temperature and I had it. My head also ached and I coughed,” kwento pa nito.

Nang magpasuri ay inamin na nitong nakapitan siya ng nasabing mikrobyo pero siniguro nitong maayos naman ang kanyang kalagayan at hindi siya natatakot basta maging responsable lang.

“Then I tested today I have received confirmation that I am positive. However, now I feel good, I am fine, I do not give the disease to myself just as easily. There is no fear, just be responsible and listen to those who advise you,” aniya.

Dalawang araw bago nagpositibo si Filipi ay nakipagsagupaan pa ito kay Serhii Horskov ng Ukraine sa European Olympic qualifying event sa London pero natalo.

Pangalawang boksingero si Filipi na positive sa Covid, una ang Turkish middleweight boxer na si Serhat Guler, isa ring Turkish coach. (Aivan Episcope)
