ASENSO PINOY TV successfully staged an Entrepreneurs' Summit in line with its 7th anniversary celebration held on July 31, 2012 at the Skydome, SM North EDSA, Quezon City. It was attended by a roster of esteemed guests and speakers who are experts in their respective fields.
Headlining the business forum is former Rep. Cynthia Villar who told her hometown's story for need for a clean river and thereby seeing business opportunity through the water hyacinth handicraft projects. Today, Mrs. Villar, through the Villar foundation, spearheads various community projects in Las Pinas including the coconut and blanket weaving.
Laguna's Remy Adedoja and DTI Provincial Director Susan Palo, on the other hand, discussed how the water hyacinth handicraft project has become a provincial business trademark for Laguna. Starting as a lone business for Mrs. Adedoja, it has become a business enterprise, the Laguna Water Hyacinth Handicraft Association, thru the help of Mrs. Palo of Laguna DTI.
Meanwhile, franchising expert Rommel Juan of Binalot Foods Fiesta, Inc., shared the success story of his business. Starting out as a delivery outlet, today Binalot has 41 branches nationwide!
Digital marketing experts Migs dela Rosa and Earth Rullan talk about the 'in thing' in business marketing today which is thru the internet and digital technology. A seasoned blogger, whose blogsite www.eartlingorgeous.com, has reached 23M+, Rullan admitted hitting the jackpot by becoming a blogger at the right time and making use of it as her source of income and helping other entrepreneurs promote their products as well.
The Lord of Scent himself, Joel Cruz, rocked the Skydome when he raffled off three franchise of Aficionado Germany Perfume to a crowd of more than 1000 attendees. Cruz thanked the TV show which has helped him a lot especially when he was just starting his business.
With its theme "Asenso Pinoy: Pitong Taong Kaagapay sa Negosyo at Pag-ASENSO", the event also saw the gathering of successful entrepreneurs – who were featured in the show for the past seven years.
Start-up entrepreneurs and business students had the chance to interact with successful businessmen and learn secrets of their success. There were trade booths showcasing various products, services and business concepts which provided attendees gainful knowledge on entrepreneurship. It was indeed a day of fun and learning, freebies and entertainment!
